General
What is Gilito AI?
Gilito AI is a Quantitative Trading Research Engine. It automatically backtests thousands of trading strategies across multiple technical indicators for every asset in supported market indexes. The platform identifies the best-performing strategies and generates daily buy, sell, and hold signals based on rigorous historical backtesting.
Think of it as having a quantitative research team that tests every possible strategy combination for every stock, every day — and surfaces only the most promising results.
Who is Gilito AI for?
Gilito AI is designed for individual investors, active traders, financial advisors, and small trading teams who want data-driven insights without building their own quantitative research infrastructure. Whether you are a retail investor looking for an edge or a professional managing client portfolios, Gilito AI provides institutional-grade backtesting research at an accessible price point.
Is Gilito AI free to use?
Yes, Gilito AI offers a Free plan that lets you explore the platform with limited resources: 10 watchlist assets, 2 portfolios, 3 agents, and access to 1 market. For more capacity, you can upgrade to a paid plan starting at €50/month. See Plans & Pricing for full details.
How do I sign in to Gilito AI?
You can sign in with your email and password, or use social login via Google, Apple, or LinkedIn. Go to tio.gilito.ai, enter your credentials, and you are in. If you forgot your password, click the “Forgot password?” link to receive a password reset email.
Market Data
Where does the market data come from?
Gilito AI sources market data from established financial data providers. Price data is collected daily for all assets in supported market indexes. We use end-of-day closing prices for backtesting and signal generation. The data pipeline is automated and validated for accuracy.
How often is the data updated?
Market data is updated daily after each exchange's market close. Price updates trigger a cascade of computations: technical indicators are recalculated, strategies are backtested, and signals are regenerated. The entire pipeline typically completes within 1-3 hours after market close.
What markets are supported?
Gilito AI currently supports major stock market indexes including the S&P 500 and IBEX 35, with more markets being added progressively. The number of markets you can access depends on your plan: Free and Pro plans include 1 market, Advanced includes 5 markets, and Enterprise offers unlimited market access.
How far back does the historical data go?
We maintain at least 24 months of historical daily price data for all supported assets. This provides enough data for reliable backtesting across various market conditions, including both bullish and bearish periods. Some assets may have longer histories depending on their listing date.
Signals
How accurate are the signals?
Signal accuracy varies by asset, market conditions, and time period. Gilito AI ranks strategies using the Gilito Score (0-100), which is a composite score that factors in multiple performance metrics including returns, win rate, risk-adjusted performance, and consistency. A higher Gilito Score indicates a more robust strategy historically, but past performance is never a guarantee of future results.
Should I follow the signals blindly?
No. Gilito AI signals are research tools, not trading instructions. They represent the output of quantitative backtesting analysis and should be used as one input in your investment decision-making process. Always combine Gilito AI signals with your own research, risk management rules, and investment thesis. No quantitative system can predict the future with certainty.
Are Gilito AI signals financial advice?
No. Gilito AI is a research and analysis platform. Nothing on the platform constitutes financial advice, investment advice, trading advice, or any other form of professional advice. The signals, strategy results, and rankings are provided for informational and educational purposes only. Always consult a qualified financial advisor before making investment decisions.
When do signals update?
Signals are computed once daily after market close. They reflect the latest closing prices and indicator values. Signals do not update during market hours or on weekends/holidays. The signal date displayed alongside each recommendation tells you exactly when it was last computed.
Strategies
How many strategies are tested?
Gilito AI tests millions of strategy combinations for each asset. The strategy space is generated by combining different technical indicators (RSI, MACD, Bollinger Bands, Moving Averages, and more) with various parameter configurations and entry/exit rules. This exhaustive approach ensures that the best-performing strategies are identified without human bias.
What makes a good Gilito Score?
The Gilito Score ranges from 0 to 100 and is a composite metric that evaluates a strategy's overall quality. It considers multiple factors including total returns, risk-adjusted returns (Sharpe-like metrics), win rate, consistency across different time periods, and drawdown characteristics. Generally:
- 80-100: Excellent — strong, consistent performance across multiple metrics
- 60-79: Good — solid performance with minor weaknesses
- 40-59: Average — some positive attributes but inconsistent
- Below 40: Weak — poor historical performance
Can I create custom strategies?
Gilito AI focuses on automated strategy discovery — the system tests a comprehensive strategy space for you. While you cannot manually define custom strategies through the web interface, the platform covers a wide range of indicator combinations and parameters that encompass most common technical trading approaches. If you need custom strategy testing, the API allows you to retrieve data for integration with your own backtesting tools.
What technical indicators does Gilito AI use?
Gilito AI uses a wide range of technical indicators including (but not limited to): RSI (Relative Strength Index), MACD (Moving Average Convergence Divergence), Bollinger Bands, Simple and Exponential Moving Averages, Stochastic Oscillator, ATR (Average True Range), and various momentum and trend indicators. Each indicator is tested with multiple parameter configurations.
Account
Can I have multiple workspaces?
Each Gilito AI account belongs to one workspace at a time. If you need separate workspaces (for example, one for personal investing and one for a professional team), you can create separate accounts with different email addresses. Each workspace has its own independent subscription, data, and settings.
How do I delete my account?
To delete your account and all associated data, go to Settings > Account and scroll to the bottom. You will find a Delete Account option. This action is permanent and cannot be undone — all your workspace data, including watchlists, portfolios, agents, and historical data, will be permanently deleted. If you are the workspace owner and have team members, they will lose access to the workspace as well.
Is my data secure?
Yes. Gilito AI takes data security seriously. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and at rest. We use managed database services with automatic backups. Payment processing is handled by Stripe — we never store your credit card details on our servers. Passwords are securely hashed and never stored in plain text. We follow industry best practices for infrastructure security.
Can I export my data?
You can export your data through the Gilito AI API. Using your API key, you can programmatically retrieve your watchlists, portfolios, signals, and strategy results. See the API Keys documentation for instructions on setting up API access, and visit developers.gilito.ai for complete API documentation.
Billing
Can I get a refund?
Gilito AI does not offer refunds for partially used billing periods. When you cancel your subscription, you retain access to your paid plan until the end of the current billing period. For annual plans, you keep access for the remainder of the year you paid for. We recommend starting with the Free plan or a monthly subscription to evaluate the platform before committing to an annual plan.
Do you offer student or startup discounts?
We do not currently offer formal discount programs. However, the Free plan provides meaningful access to the platform at no cost, and the Pro plan at €50/month is competitively priced for individual researchers. For startups or educational institutions with specific needs, reach out to us — we evaluate partnership opportunities on a case-by-case basis.
What payment methods do you accept?
Gilito AI accepts all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) through our payment processor, Stripe. Stripe also supports various local payment methods depending on your region. All payments are processed securely — Gilito AI never directly handles your card details.
Will I be charged automatically when my plan renews?
Yes. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle (monthly or annual). You will receive an email notification before renewal. If you want to stop being charged, you must cancel your subscription before the renewal date. You can cancel anytime from Settings > Plan. See Managing Your Subscription for details.
Can I switch between monthly and annual billing?
Yes. You can switch your billing cycle at any time from Settings > Plan. Switching from monthly to annual takes effect immediately and saves you 2 months (you pay for 10 months instead of 12). Switching from annual to monthly takes effect at the end of your current annual period.
