Quick Start Guide

This guide walks you through the five essential steps to start getting value from Gilito AI. In about five minutes, you will have a watchlist with live signals, understand how to read strategy data, and know how to set up automated monitoring. Each step builds on the previous one, so follow them in order.

Before you begin: Make sure you have created your account and completed the onboarding process. You should be signed in at tio.gilito.ai and see your dashboard.

Step 1: Add Assets to Your Watchlist

Your watchlist is the starting point for everything in Gilito AI. It is the list of assets (stocks) you want to monitor and receive signals for.

To add assets:

  • Click on Watchlists in the sidebar navigation
  • Use the search bar to find assets by name or ticker symbol (e.g., MSFT for Microsoft, NVDA for NVIDIA)
  • Click the add button next to each asset you want to track
  • Assets are immediately added and Gilito AI begins analyzing them
Tip: Gilito AI tests over 2,000,000 strategies per asset every day. Add assets you are actively considering for investment decisions. Quality over quantity — a focused watchlist of 10-20 assets will give you actionable insights without information overload.

Step 2: Check Signals for Each Asset

Once your assets are in your watchlist, Gilito AI generates daily signals for each one. A signal is a portfolio-aware recommendation based on the best-performing strategies found by our engine.

Each asset displays one of three signals:

  • Buy — The top strategies indicate this is a favorable entry point
  • Sell — The top strategies indicate it may be time to reduce or exit your position
  • Hold — The top strategies suggest maintaining your current position (or staying out if you are not invested)

To view signals, navigate to your watchlist and look at the signal indicator next to each asset. Click on any asset to see its full signal detail, including the confidence level and which strategies are driving the recommendation.

Important: Signals are research tools, not financial advice. They represent the output of quantitative backtesting — always combine them with your own analysis and risk management before making investment decisions.

Step 3: Explore Strategy Details

Behind every signal are thousands of tested strategies. You can explore the data behind any signal to understand why Gilito AI is making a particular recommendation.

Click on any asset in your watchlist to open its detail page. Here you will find:

  • Top strategies — The highest-scoring strategies for this asset, ranked by the Gilito Score (a composite performance metric from 0 to 100)
  • Strategy parameters — The specific indicators, timeframes, and entry/exit rules each strategy uses
  • Backtest results — Historical performance data including return, win rate, max drawdown, and Sharpe ratio
  • Rankings — How strategies are ordered for this asset on a given day, showing which approaches are working best right now
Tip: Pay attention to the Gilito Score. This is a proprietary composite score (0-100) that balances multiple performance metrics. A score above 70 generally indicates a robust strategy. Scores above 85 are exceptional and rare.

Step 4: Create a Portfolio

While a watchlist tracks assets you are interested in, a portfolio tracks assets you actually hold. Creating a portfolio allows Gilito AI to provide portfolio-aware signals — recommendations that take into account your existing positions.

To create a portfolio:

  • Click on Portfolios in the sidebar navigation
  • Click Create Portfolio
  • Give your portfolio a name (e.g., “Main Brokerage”)
  • Add your positions by searching for assets and entering the number of shares and your average entry price

Once your portfolio is set up, Gilito AI will factor in your current exposure when generating signals. For example, if you already have a large position in a stock, the system may adjust its recommendation accordingly.

Why portfolios matter: Without a portfolio, signals are generic. With a portfolio, signals become personalized — Gilito AI knows what you already own and can provide recommendations that consider your overall allocation and risk.

Step 5: Set Up an Agent

Agents are automated monitors that watch your assets and notify you when specific conditions are met. Instead of checking the dashboard every day, you can set up an agent to do the watching for you.

To create an agent:

  • Click on Agents in the sidebar navigation
  • Click Create Agent
  • Choose the assets or watchlist you want the agent to monitor
  • Define the conditions that should trigger a notification (e.g., when a signal changes from Hold to Buy, when the Gilito Score crosses a threshold, or when a strategy ranking shifts)
  • Select how you want to be notified (email or in-app notification)
Tip: Start with a simple agent that notifies you when any asset in your watchlist changes signal (e.g., from Hold to Buy or from Hold to Sell). This is the single most valuable automation you can set up — it ensures you never miss a potential trade opportunity.

You Are All Set

With these five steps complete, you have a fully configured Gilito AI workspace:

  • A watchlist of assets you are tracking
  • Daily signals telling you what to consider
  • Strategy data explaining why each signal is generated
  • A portfolio giving you personalized, position-aware signals
  • An agent that automates monitoring so you do not miss anything

Next, take a complete tour of the dashboard to discover all the features available to you, or dive deeper into key concepts to understand how Gilito AI works under the hood.
