Asset AI Profiles

Every asset tracked by Gilito has an AI-generated profile — a multi-dimensional knowledge model that captures how the asset behaves across different market conditions. These profiles power smarter signal generation, more relevant agent decisions, and better strategy recommendations.

What Are Asset AI Profiles?

An Asset AI Profile is a structured summary of everything Gilito has learned about a particular asset through backtesting, market data analysis, and pattern recognition. Rather than treating every stock the same way, profiles allow Gilito to tailor its analysis to each asset's unique characteristics.

For example, a highly volatile tech stock behaves very differently from a stable utility company. Their AI profiles capture these differences, ensuring that the strategies and signals Gilito generates are appropriate for each asset's behavior.

Knowledge Dimensions

Each Asset AI Profile is built from six core knowledge dimensions:

Regime Patterns
How the asset behaves in different market regimes — trending up, trending down, ranging sideways, or high volatility. This dimension tracks which regimes the asset has historically spent the most time in and how it transitions between them.
Strategy Affinity
Which types of strategies perform best on this asset. Some assets respond well to momentum strategies, others to mean-reversion, and others to trend-following. Strategy affinity captures these preferences based on thousands of backtests.
Indicator Sensitivity
How responsive the asset is to specific technical indicators. For example, some assets produce reliable signals from RSI, while others are better captured by moving average crossovers. This dimension ranks indicator effectiveness per asset.
Volatility Profile
The asset's typical volatility patterns, including average daily range, volatility clustering behavior, and how volatility changes around earnings or macro events. This helps calibrate risk parameters for strategies.
Seasonality
Recurring calendar-based patterns in the asset's behavior. This includes monthly patterns (e.g., end-of-quarter effects), earnings season behavior, and day-of-week tendencies.
Correlations
How the asset moves relative to other assets, sectors, and market indexes. Correlation data helps with portfolio diversification and identifies when an asset is behaving unusually relative to its peers.

Confidence Scoring

Not all profile dimensions have the same reliability. Each dimension includes a confidence score that reflects how much data backs the conclusion. An asset with 10 years of daily price history will have higher confidence scores than a recently listed stock with only a few months of data.

  • High confidence (80-100) — backed by extensive historical data and consistent patterns
  • Medium confidence (50-79) — reasonable data available but patterns may be less stable
  • Low confidence (below 50) — limited data or inconsistent patterns; treat insights as preliminary
Note: Confidence scores are updated automatically as new market data arrives. An asset's profile becomes more reliable over time as Gilito processes more data.

How Profiles Improve Signals and Agent Decisions

Asset AI Profiles are not just informational — they actively improve the quality of Gilito's outputs in several ways:

  • Smarter signal generation Signals are weighted toward strategies that have the highest affinity with the asset, rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach
  • Regime-aware recommendations — When the market regime shifts, Gilito adjusts which strategies it prioritizes based on how the asset has historically performed in that regime
  • Better agent evaluations Agents use profile data to contextualize their condition checks. An agent monitoring a high-volatility asset can account for its typical range rather than triggering on normal fluctuations
  • Portfolio-level insights — Correlation data from profiles helps identify concentration risks and diversification opportunities across your holdings
Tip: You can view any asset's AI profile from the asset detail page. Look for the "AI Profile" tab to see all six knowledge dimensions and their confidence scores.
