What Happens When You Hit Plan Limits
When you reach the limit for any feature on your current plan, Gilito AI will prevent you from creating additional items. You will not lose any existing data — your current watchlist assets, portfolios, and agents remain intact. Here is what happens for each limit:
- Watchlist limit: You cannot add more assets to your watchlist until you remove existing ones or upgrade your plan.
- Portfolio limit: You cannot create new portfolios. You can still edit and manage your existing portfolios.
- Agent limit: You cannot create new agents. Existing agents continue to run and send notifications as configured.
- Market limit: You cannot access assets from additional markets. Your current market access remains active.
- Seat limit: Workspace admins cannot invite additional team members until a seat is freed or the plan is upgraded.
Annual vs Monthly Billing
All paid plans offer both monthly and annual billing cycles. Annual billing gives you 2 months free — you pay for 10 months instead of 12. Here is a breakdown of the savings:
You can switch between monthly and annual billing at any time from your subscription settings. When switching from monthly to annual, the change takes effect immediately and you are charged the annual rate. When switching from annual to monthly, the change takes effect at the end of your current annual billing period.
How to Upgrade or Downgrade
Upgrading
You can upgrade your plan at any time. Go to Settings > Plan in your Gilito AI dashboard and select the plan you want to upgrade to. Upgrades take effect immediately — you will get instant access to the new plan's higher limits. You are charged a prorated amount for the remainder of your current billing cycle.
Downgrading
Downgrading your plan also happens in Settings > Plan. When you downgrade, the change takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle. You retain full access to your current plan until then. If your usage exceeds the new plan's limits when the downgrade takes effect, you will not lose data, but you will be unable to create new items that exceed the lower plan's limits until you reduce your usage or upgrade again.
